Countdown, 20 days

Pine and blooms

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Today needs to be slowed down and enjoyed. With 20 days left here in Coshocton there is so much going on, boxes to be packed, farewells to be said, plans to be made and kiddos love on. I’ve been reading 2 different books lately that have stressed the importance of slowing down and enjoying life. Especially when it comes to children. How timely for me, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It has been such a good reminder to me, to stop what I’m doing and to spend focused time on them and meeting their needs. That also applies to everyday living with others we may come in contact with. Take time for people and truly care about whats going on inside them.

The Lord has blessed us with a house in North Carolina. Just last week we got a call about one and it sounded perfect for our needs. Its 13 minutes from the hangar in a  semi country setting. That’s about all we knew. A few days later we got an inside tour via Facetime and made an agreement with the landlord. When we went down in January, we weren’t finding anything available, and the ones we did find were tiny or in a bad neighborhood. We tried to make something work on our own strength and it just wasn’t coming together. We came home feeling discouraged. But the Lord is mighty! 4 weeks from our move date the Lord provided a place. He heard our prayer (and yours too) and ran with it. Someone contacted us with the place, not us in our strength, but God. Someone negotiated the price, not us, but God. Someone placed a wonderful lady there to be our landlord, not us, but God. The pieces fell into place and we cannot help but exault our Lord and maker! Our house is on a shared lot with our landlord who is an older widowed lady and we are looking forward to be a blessing to her.

As of this afternoon Brad got his inspection authorization from the FAA! He now has the ability to sign off on annual inspections and major repairs, which previously had to be signed off by someone else. Another praise!

He is our provider and He shows us over and over if we are quiet and listen and wait. He will bless you every step of your chosen path as you follow Him! I will be praying, especially for the next 20 days, as I am so aware of the potential stress of a move. God bless you!

Thank you, Charlene. It doesn’t feel to stressful yet, but I’m praying it stays that way.
