Life as normal

A Princess in Zambia

The sunshine today was rejuvenating to my soul! I spent the morning with a group of women in a sunbeam filled living room, sipping a mug of hot tea and praying together. It was so energizing to me, this day especially. All of the MMS women meet once a month for a time of prayer together. We pray for each other, our supporters, the future… It is such a blessed time of uniting, being real, and of course, sharing our praises along the way.

Last weekend, Brad and I went to a Love and Respect seminar with some people from church here. It was such a good refresher for us. It has been 8 years since we went through it and we were only engaged at the time. This time through I thought about it in light of my children. How can I bless them by using the love and respect principals? A big one for me is my tone of voice. Though I’m exasperated at times I still should use a loving tone, not “Are you throwing food on the floor again?!” Or how about loving and responding in love unconditionally, regardless of performance? These are some areas that I’m trying to work on with my children. I mess up a lot. But God has grace and I am ever thankful.

His mercies are new every morning!

What a blessing to get together for a time of prayer and sharing. It draws us close to each other in a way that’s only possible with God.
I think we as moms can all relate to the struggle. I have no doubt you’ll be blessed in trying to communicate that ‘love and respect’ a little better to your littles. ❤️ Thanks for another little peek into your life!
