Safe and sound

Perhaps you’ve been wondering what has became of us. Did we make it home? Yes! By God’s grace and the prayers of many of you we made it home, right on schedule. Your prayers were answered. Every single flight landed ahead of schedule, despite the storm that we had to work around coming across the ocean. We had no problem making our connections either. The Lord be praised! No one was sick, all of our baggage made it and we arrived home, safe, blessed and tired.

During our time in Zambia we felt your prayers. We couldn’t have dwelt with the trip nearly as well if it hadn’t been for your prayers, texts, emails and all the encouragement that you sent. It really means a lot to us, to know that we have such a powerful support group behind us.

We’ve been home 2 weeks now, visiting family, paying bills, mowing the lawn and getting back into the routine of life here. It’s nice to be able to go to church and understand the entire sermon. It’s nice to be able to have vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower again. Continuous power? Yep. Libraries? You bet! There is also a lot that we miss from Africa. A piece of us will always be there and we will remember it forever. Will we ever go back to Africa? We don’t know, but we do know that we serve a MIGHTY God and He knows our future!

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. {Jeremiah 29:11}

    Praise the LORD for safe travels and may we all be slower to take life and its enjoyments for granted! 🙂
